Welcome to Fairytale of Norway! We work hard to provide you with the best gifts and souvenirs from Trondheim and Norway. Here you will find handpicked products you won’t find anywhere else in the city: local arts and crafts as well as local delicacies and traditional souvenirs. We also have Trondheim’s largest selection of Nyform trolls – a favourite collector’s item for many. We look forward to helping you find the perfect gift!
Trondheim is getting ready for several big sportsevents in 2020. First out is the preliminary rounds in Handball European Championships, where Norway plays their matches in Trondheim Spektrum from Jan. 9th to Jan. 14th. February 22nd, Trondheim is a part of Ski Tour 2020, where the cross country elite is practically on their home ground in Granåsen.
We have several types of supportereffects like flags, t-shirts, scarves, hats – and bells – so you can be heard in the sportshalls or out in the field! Stop by and see our selection or send us an email if you want to order, so we know we have the products in stock.
After seeing the need for a souvenir shop in Trondheim, Monica Selnes decided to take the matter into her own hands – and in 2017 she opened Fairytale of Norway in one of the old wharves in Fjordgata. With almost 20 years in the tourist industry and first hand knowledge of what tourists want to bring home, Monica was in a unique position to handpick souvenirs and gifts to best suit the customers’ needs.
Fairytale of Norway is an independent shop, which allows us to provide products you won’t find everywhere else. Many of our products are designed in Norway and purchased from local providers. At Fairytale of Norway you can therefore buy art from Trondheim-based artists, locally produced handcrafts, reindeer skin from Røros and handmade choholate from Selbu, as well as traditional souvenirs like troll figurines and magnets.
